Grace Barry, M.Ed.
Educational Consultant/College and Career Planner
Throughout her twenty years of college consulting experience, Grace has coached hundreds of students helping them develop their profiles, navigate the college-application process, and find a “best fit” in their pursuit of higher education. Prior to her career in education, Grace was employed in banking as a marketing manager and trainer for a Fortune 500 company. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware. While working full time in the banking industry, she completed her Master's Degree in Counseling. She is certified to conduct a myriad of personality assessments and certified in the Myers-Briggs self-assessment technique. One of Grace’s personal beliefs and passions is the value of visiting a college or university in person. She has visited over sixty colleges and universities, both private and public, and has a recurrent yearly goal of continuing to discover unique colleges and offer insights to prospective students. This past year, she was selected to serve on the College Admittance Advisory Board for the University of Delaware. Additionally, she is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of College Admissions (PCAC) and the National Association of College Admissions (NACA). Grace has a special interest in working with students who have ADHD and has attended CHADDS Annual Conference for ADHD. Additionally, Grace has experience as an educational grant writer and has received funding for career and summer enrichment programs.
For the past twelve years, Grace has lived with her husband and two children in West Chester, PA. Her daughter is currently in sixth grade and her son in fourth. For fun, she enjoys heading to Sea Isle or Rehoboth Beach, playing pick-up basketball at the YMCA, running, and traveling.
