Pam

Director of SAT & ACT Program | Writing & EF Coach

Pam is a writing, executive function, and SAT coach for ATN and is the ACT/SAT Program Director. Pam has been teaching in the public school system for thirty years. She graduated with a dual major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Shippensburg University and earned her Masters in Education from Widener University where she added Reading Specialist and Secondary English to her list of certifications. She has taught pre-school, kindergarten, and inner-city second grade, and spent eighteen years teaching middle school language arts. Her experience in middle school includes teaching courses for gifted students and courses in close reading, study skills, and team building. She currently teaches ninth- and eleventh-grade English at Penncrest High School in the Rose Tree Media School District. Pam is also an adjunct professor at Neumann University in their Master of Science in Education program with an emphasis in Social Emotional Learning. In 2016, Pam was nominated as a finalist for the Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year. She is a lifetime member of the National State Teachers of the Year-PA and each December travels to Hershey for the Pennsylvania Department of Education Conference to celebrate the new Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year. Through this membership, she was invited to become a member of the Pennsylvania Teachers Advisory Committee which gives teachers a voice at the state level.


Pam lives in Media, PA with Alan, her husband of twenty-eight years, and their two cats. They have a son who graduated from Penn State, a daughter attending Penn State, and a youngest daughter who lives at home and attends Penncrest High School with her mom. In her “spare” time, Pam enjoys playing card and strategy games and reading books.
